[First Impression] Light Chaser Rescue

Here's a look at the new episode of Luo Yunxi and Wu Qian that aired yesterday. Although this is the 3rd time they have met, this is the first time they have met as protagonists.

This is a "my opinion" post, so I won't agree with everyone. If you can't accept different points of view, I encourage you not to read.

Now, let's watch Light Chaser Rescue. Before saying anything, the first thing I want to say is that I only watched 2 episodes for First Impressions before, but this time I watched all 4 episodes on WeTV in one sitting.

Possible bias

I like Wu Qian very much. I also love Li Tingting, the backup, from the beginning. But I have tried to be as unbiased as possible.

Storyline (4.5 of 5 stars)

👨‍🚒Luo Yunxi as Luo Ben, a lawyer who goes out to find his sister after a massive earthquake in Xichuan.

👨‍🚒Wu Qian as Zhan Yan, a selfless and excellent doctor

👨‍🚒 Yang Anqi (Three Lives Three Worlds) as Luo Yan, sister of Luo Ben (Luo Yunxi) who can't speak.

👨‍🚒 Xiong Fei (Eternal Love of Dream) as Xu Shaoying, who was a member of the rescue team from the beginning and met Luo Yan (Yang Anqi).

👨‍🚒 Li Tingting (Negotiator) as Ding Dingding, Zhan Yan's (Wu Qian) cousin.

👨‍🚒 Li Mingde (When We Were Young, Go Go Squid!) as Zhou Mingming, who happens to meet Ding Dingding (Li Tingting) while delivering relief supplies.

When Luo Ben (Luo Yunxi) and the rest become members of a disaster rescue team and face the same challenges as Zhan Yan (Wu Qian) after going through hellish training...

The acting skills of the actors (3.8 of 5 stars)

Everything written in this paragraph is my own opinion, and when I say good/bad, I say it "for myself".

Luo Yunxi

I can comment that he's fine acting on his own, but I think he's a bit more in some scenes when someone else is on screen. I see that if he put in a little more effort because he doesn't think it's going to be good from his "own point of view". Especially in the scenes with Wu Qian, Wu Qian was normal, and Luo Yunxi frowned. It is obvious that he is acting in the roles that he thinks about. I feel like it's not good enough to get swept up in the story without actually feeling like you're acting.

But this doesn't affect the story enough. A lot better than other famous people who are not good at acting at all.

Wu Qian (Janice Wu)

We've seen her a little bit in previous dramas, but this one is a big improvement. She can also act cute, it's like showing that she can act seriously, too. What I like is that her acting is not overpowering. She doesn't need a force. She can act well to make the anger and confusion different. She would make you feel like a real doctor.

I already like her, so maybe I think she's good, but I think she's really improved.

Li Mingde

For someone who has only been an actor for 4 years, it can be said that he is quite comfortable. So far, there are no awkward moments in all the scenes he has acted in. It works. I haven't seen much yet because I've only watched casual episodes. The figure is also a picture that girls will like, so I can see that he can be popular if the resources are good.

Li Tingting

I really like her in Negotiator, so I have to say that actually watching this drama is because of her rather than because of Wu Qian. She doesn't feel like she's changed much. But she's not a bad actor either. She was comfortable from the beginning, so she was comfortable as well. 

Yang Anqi

I have never watched her, but she is beautiful. The acting is also good. It's not easy to act in sign language without speaking in dialogues. The actor is also cool with the character.

Xu Shaoying

He is the best supporting actor. Both acting and appearance are so natural, it's like watching a real rescue worker.

All Watched Script / Acting Status (4.5 of 5 stars)

It is possible to put all the supporting characters in their place in the script. It doesn't make any character feel stuffy. And after teaching the background technique in part 1, there was an earthquake in part 2, so I wasn't bored at all. I even watched 4 episodes in one sitting. Because of the script, it's guaranteed not to slow down at all.

Likes / Dislikes (4 of 5 stars)

Love the production quality. The post-earthquake scene was really well taken care of. People who are sitting like crazy in the scenes that will be seen for a while. Injuries are terrible.

And I love seeing the relief supplies. While watching, I thought, "Oh, our country is going to die." Sending love to Mal.

There is hardly any thing I don't like.

I don't even want to wait until it's over, so I think I'll watch it. I'm already circling the poles because I don't want to buy WeTV VIP.
