[Biography] Liu Haoran

Liu Haoran, the youngest and highest-grossing actor

When young people enter the world of entertainment, they must first try to build a fandom. Even if they don't try at once, only after building a fandom, they get other sources based on this fandom. Unlike others, Liu Haoran is a genuine actor who has consistently pursued only one type of acting since entering the world.

On this day (October 10) 25 years ago, Liu Yuan was born in Pingdingshan, Henan Province. Since elementary school, he had been a student with good marks in cultural subjects. Since the age of 9 in 2006, he had been participating in CCTV's Chinese New Year concerts and winning awards.

Because he excelled in this area, he had quite a few options when he was in high school. Among them, he chose to attend a high school affiliated with the Beijing Dance Academy. In 2009, when he was 11 years old, he moved to Beijing and went to school. He was too tired and wanted to leave school. But he didn't come out and kept trying.

In 2013, while still in high school, director Chen Sicheng, Tong Liya's ex-husband, called Liu Haoran to be in supporting role in his first directorial work, Beijing Love Story. In 2012, which is not like today, it was a success with over 1 billion viewers. Working with Chen Sicheng in this movie later became a big opportunity for Liu Haoran.

In 2015, at the age of 18, Liu Haoran entered the acting department of the Central Academy of Drama, one of the top 3 art schools. Not simply, he was admitted with the highest score in the entrance exam.

That same year, Liu Haoran, who was already comfortable working with director Chen Sicheng, was cast as the main actor in his film Detective Chinatown. It also became the best opportunity for Liu Haoran to continue relying on acting skills in his life. Even though Liu Haoran is a new actor, the entire acting world has come to know that he can act well.

Liu Haoran is one of the lucky ones. Even if it's just a supporting role, he got to be in the movie such as  The Founding of an Army that everyone will watch with only three years of acting time, he also had the opportunity to work with a director like Chen Kaige early on.

Liu Haoran, who only focuses on movies and doesn't do many dramas, was in dramas like Nirvana in Fire 2.

By the time Detective Chinatown 2 came out in 2018, everyone knew Liu Haoran. With that movie, he was nominated for the Best Actor Award for the Hundred Flowers Awards. Normally, at his age, people like him is only shortlisted for the New Face Award. He was also the youngest among the nominees for the main actor award at the Hundred Flower Awards.

He also acted with Chen Kaige in movies like My People My Country. In the series, the drama like Novoland: Eagle Flag got more fans. After graduating from the Central Academy of Drama in 2020, he continued filming My People My Homeland. Although these movies are policy movies for people outside of China, they are very popular in China, which helps them reach the top of the box office list.

When Detective Chinatown 3 came out in 2021, it proved that people weren't tired of this movie yet. Liu Haoran became the youngest actor to earn more than 15 billion yuan as a solo artist because of this movie, which earned more than 4,500 million yuan.

In 2021, he was nominated for the Best Actor Award for Hundred Flowers Awards with 1921 movie.

Why can I say that Liu Haoran is a real actor? While he has shot more than 20 movies, he has only appeared in 6 dramas (1 was a mini-drama, and the other 1 was a guest role). He rarely go to TV programs, and he often go as a guest. We can say that, with only 8 years of acting life, he can stand at number 4 in the current box office income list.

Liu Haoran has a sense of humor, he likes to play sudoku and chess and has a good intelligence. They noted that despite his mature appearance, he was not afraid to speak his mind.

Recently, there have been reports that he is dating Zhou Dongyu, but there has been no response from the actors.
