Hu Ge chose STA when he was admitted to two of China's leading art schools, the Central Academy of Drama and the Shanghai Theater Academy. Because STA teaches better about acting. After recovering from his injuries, he continued shooting the car, and when he left the car, he was popular as expected. After that, he continued to shoot the Chinese Paladin series while also releasing albums. He also published a book about how the accident changed him. In 2009, he suddenly broke up with Xue Jianing.

After that, movies started to become hit, and they started focusing on the kind of movies that show acting skills. That's why the historical film 1911 released in 2011 and the Hundred Flowers Awards were nominated for the best new actor award. At that time, he was 29 years old.
